The Wildland Fire and Forest Health Specialist position is responsible for providing critical wildland fire support during the wildfire season at the regional level. When not engaged in fire suppression activities, the Specialist is responsible for delivering on key forest health treatment activities including, but not limited to prescribed fire preparation, fuels mitigation, and management including piling and burning, thinning, and treatment area flagging, and related activities.
