As an intern at AFM, you spend time paired with a forester throughout your summer to gain a wide range of forestry and business experience while also working independently at times. Work duties will include a range of tasks typical of AFM foresters in each District, including inventory work using a variety of cruising techniques, reforestation surveys, tree marking, management plan writing, PCT layout and compliance, marking timber sale stream buffers and unit boundaries, & other duties.
