The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Forest Roads Manager in the accomplishment of the Forest Roads Unit’s objectives by planning and participating in the preparation and administration of timber sale contracts, and by carrying out tasks associated with forest road management, consistent with statutory and policy standards, and sound stewardship principles. Requires specialized education and training in forest road design, road maintenance, and contract administration.
