The DPG manages 1.2 million acres of public grasslands in North and South Dakota, managing these Grasslands for multiple use. One of the uses is the largest Range Grazing program on US Forest Service managed lands. The DPG Range program encompasses grazing of ~500,000 AUM’s in 4 Ranger Districts, on 4 National Grasslands and working with 8 grazing associations with a total membership of 391 ranching families. This program is complex, oft-times challenging and truly rewarding for the members.
