The ability to operate a 4WD truck on logging roads and experience using a variety of hand and power tools is desired. Solid writing, communication, and customer service skills are also needed to work with agency staff, law enforcement and EMS professionals, volunteers, labor crews, event organizers, and other stakeholders to advance shared goals; as well as to interact with members of the public and properly document findings during routine education and enforcement patrols.
