Wet meadow irrigation provides critical migration and breeding habitat for a myriad of North American bird and wildlife species. It also provides for growing livestock feed (hay) for local ranching permittees. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will provide much needed support to manage water that comes into the basin on its way to Malheur Lake. This position offers a great opportunity to use and learn a number of skills that relate to managing irrigation at the refuge.
