The primary purpose of the position is to maintain a safe transportation infrastructure within DNR’s Northeast region. The transportation system serves both the objectives of managing state resources on DNR trust lands and also provides for public access to designated areas of the jurisdiction. A fundamental responsibility of this position is protecting natural resources during maintenance/construction activities and reducing damages during unforeseen storm-induced events.
