The responsibilities of the Olympic Region’s Forest Check Cruiser include performing as the lead forest cruiser for the region’s timber sales program. This work includes obtaining accurate net volumes for proposed timber sales, rights of ways, and lease sites by designing accurate sampling techniques, cruise intensities, and following the guidance in DNR’s Timber Cruising Handbook.
