Job shadow description: 
I serve as District Ranger for the Mt Adams Ranger District on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I'm the lead decision maker for all activities on ~600,000 acres of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Depending on when the student came to visit, we could head to the field to check out a variety of projects and meet many different people. I could provide an overview of all the different types of jobs available within the Forest Service and familiarize the student with the Forest Service mission and typical projects and priorities.
Available job shadow times: 
M-F 8am - 6pm, different days available depending on scheduling on what the student is most interested in.
Length of job shadow experience: 
~8/ one day but I'm flexible
